Yea, don't change the default route, I'm just not sure if the DSL modem and your FreeBSD need to be on the same subnet to start the PPPoe session. My flowpoint DSL modem has an address of 192.168.254.254 (for configuration, and stats), when I originally set PPPoe up I used 192.168.254.100 for ed0 on my FreeBSD box, I ran into problems, when I tried to change ed0 back to 10.10.10.1, the PPPoe sesion would fail. So what I ended up doing was having ed0 192.168.254.100 and an alias of 10.10.10.1....Then of course the power failed, and I hadn't put any of this into the conf files so.....................................I'll look at it tonight :) At 12:40 PM 4/26/00 -0400, Marty Poulin wrote: > >I don't have a default gateway set in /etc/rc.conf, and in >/etc/defaults/rc.conf I have default_gateway="NO" set > >I'll have to wait until I get home to get the output from ppp.log > >Thanks > > Jonathan E.
