Seagate is having a version contest with Exabyte! :-) I have: (ahc0:4:0): "ARCHIVE Python 28388-XXX 4.CM" type 1 removable SCSI 2 (ahc0:5:0): "ARCHIVE Python 25601-XXX 2.75" type 1 removable SCSI 2 (ahc0:6:0): "ARCHIVE ANCDA 2750 28077 -003" type 1 removable SCSI 2 and I think I have one of the ARCHIVE Python 25501-XXX 5.45's too, but its turned off and 12 miles away. All of the above have been quite reliable. Just what again does this new firmware fix? Does Seagate have a firmware site or is this something you have to call and beg for? Am getting a bit skittish as maybe this weekend my narrow devices are coming off the Adaptec and going on the Asus SC875 to free the 2940 for another system. -- David Kelly N4HHE, dkelly@nospam.hiwaay.net ===================================================================== The human mind ordinarily operates at only ten percent of its capacity -- the rest is overhead for the operating system.
