I would suggest an easier fix:
rm -rf /usr/src/games
Who actually gives a damn about the cruddy unix games? That's what
DOS mode is for. :-)

And now the real phone begins.... go rewrite games/phanasia/setup.c to
take an optional -d "${DESTDIR}" so that make release works :-).
And yes, it needs to handle the case of -d "" since DESTDIR may be null :-).
Right now I have make release 99% done (the last 1% is always a bear) sans
the games area due to lots of the above type problems. You may wish to
go look and see how (*I think*) Chris D. fixed these all for NetBSD.
