FreeBSD-2.2-961014-SNAP worked fine (though it took several minutes to boot). I am puzzled about how the boot disk for 2.2-ALPHA could work and install the software (from ppp on sl0), but booting from HD is not possible. Below a screen dump of the boot process (as much as I could catch) - it should tell what hardware I have. The CD-ROM that it never find is a TEAC SCSI CD-ROM 56S. --- boot dump --- Copyright (c) 1982, 1986, 1989, 1991, 1993 The Regents of the University of California. All rights reserved.
