Garrett, you're obviously point man on #1, and we recognize it's a good point. Do you think we're in some sort of condition to wait for the kernel improvements (will some reasonable extra delay give us those fundamental advances, or just extra delay)? Are we talking a month, 3 months, a year, what? Need at least a feeling, I know asking for accuracy is ludicrous. Can't really evaluate the weight of your statement without some feeling about the chances of delay versus the chances of getting the improvements. ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@glue.umd.edu | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 213 Lakeside Drive Apt T-1 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run Journey2 and picnic (FreeBSD-current) (301) 220-2114 | and jaunt (NetBSD). ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
