Allow me to explain a little. You may have noticed lately that sunpoet@ does a fine job keeping the p5- ports that are maintained by perl@ up to date. I felt it was a shame that the ones that aren't maintained by perl@ weren't getting the same treatment. So I thought I'd take a look at them (via portscout) and see if I could get them updated. The PRs are just a fact of life as far as getting the changes approved by the maintainers. The flood of email to perl@ is an unfortunate side effect of the fact that these auto assigner doesn't recognize that it could assign these to me because the "p5- -> perl@" rule takes precedence over the "submitters is committer" rule. This is something I'm trying to work on. (I've already fixed one bug in the auto assigner recently and am currently trying to get that tested, approved and put in place. Once that's done, I'll try to get this bug fixed as well.) Also, you may have noticed that so far in this process several maintainers who's email address no longer works have been reset by portmgr@. Hopefully that along with the improvements to the auto assigner will at least slightly reduce the issue in the future. Steve
