Yes, I put only if_iwm_load="YES" and nothing more specific than that. Would adding the specific module (iwm3160fw_load="YES" in my case) not crash the system? I have no intention of trying it out right now because it works now without anything in /boot/loader.conf. I could try doing it later if that would help / be interesting to you. > Enjoy!
