I am using SmartMedia card with my Olympus Digital Camera to store a copy of the key made as per the handbook. The neat thing about it is it can have a totally different name from the original lock file, and can use either to attach.

Since I don't have USB key, I am assuming it will work if you mount it, copy the key to it and specify that path when attaching.
