https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D211373 Bug ID: 211373 Summary: emulators/virtualbox-ose-additions 5.0.26: building with OpenGL support inhibits starting of X server Product: Ports & Packages Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: Individual Port(s) Assignee: vbox@FreeBSD.org Reporter: la5lbtyi@aon.at Assignee: vbox@FreeBSD.org Flags: maintainer-feedback?(vbox@FreeBSD.org) Created attachment 172978 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D172978&action= =3Dedit diff between starting X server on client with/without OpenGL enabled If virtualbox-ose-additions 5.0.26 is built with OpenGL support, the X serv= er in the client cannot start. The attached diff compares /var/log/Xorg.0.log (without OpenGL support) to /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old (with OpenGL support): diff =3D(sed 's/^\[..........\] //' /var/log/Xorg.0.log) =3D(sed 's/^\[..........\] //' /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old) With the 4.3.38 version, enabling OpenGL support did not prevent starting of the X server. Furthermore, with the 5.0.26 version, issuing the command VBoxManage controlvm 'FreeBSD 10 i386 (v905)' setvideomodehint 1728 972= 32 is honored only after logging in to the client machine. If I remember correctly, the same command would already resize the login screen (KDE) with the 4.3.38 version. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
