I recently upgraded from 2.1.5-REL to 2.2.2-REL and seem to be having a problem using my sound card now. Nov 7 12:19:58 plasma /kernel: gus0 at 0x220 irq 11 drq 1 on isa Nov 7 12:19:58 plasma /kernel: gus0: <Gravis UltraSound MAX (512k)> Nov 7 12:19:58 plasma /kernel: gus0: <GUS MAX (CS4231)> I never had any problems running mpg123 before, but after I upgraded I get the following messages while using it: Nov 7 11:49:58 plasma /kernel: isa_dmastart: channel 1 busy Nov 7 11:50:29 plasma last message repeated 179 times Nov 7 11:52:30 plasma last message repeated 652 times The mp3 file does play, though it is very jittery at first. I've tried recompiling the most recent version of mpg123, but the messages still appear. None of the other audio software I've used (RealPlayer, mxv, etc.) gives me those errors. Nothing else should be using DMA channel 1, as far as I can tell. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Should I configure my GUS to use a different DMA channel? Is there a simple fix I am completely missing? --- Tim Jensen "Frustra laborant quotquot se calculationibus fatigant pro inventione quadraturae circuli." - Michael Stifel (1544)
