SO my system of about 2 weeks or so ago had a /boot/kernl for which du returned a value of ~19000K On rebuild and reinstall today my root filesystem filled up when the size of /boot/kernel passed 49203K and it wasn't anywhere near finished. Can someone put an UPDATING entry explaining why this happenned (there seems to now be a .symbols fir for every .ko that is much larger) and how to turn it off! thanks Julian
