Synopsis: 8.0 install fails from USB memstick because /dev/da0s1b is missing State-Changed-From-To: open->feedback State-Changed-By: gavin State-Changed-When: Tue Dec 15 21:58:23 UTC 2009 State-Changed-Why: To submitter: are you trying to install over a previous install of FreeBSD, and if so, was that install done using the "dangerously dedicated" option originally? If so, please see PR bin/140900. If that is not the case, can you give a little more detail about exactly how you have got to this point? Quite a few people have used the memstick image with success, so it'd be useful to try to determine what you are doing differently. For example, are you adding a swap partition while setting up the disk partitions, or not?
