Subject: OpenSSH in 4.0 doesn't seem to work out of the box

Have been experimenting with the OpenSSH implementation that's included in
4.0-STABLE. After one enables it in rc.conf and rebooting to generate host
keys, the sshd that's part of the package seems not to be compatible with
any of the clients I use. It refuses to accept connections, saying that it
can't find an RSAREF library. And when I install RSAREF from the Ports
Collection, it *still* rejects connections from clients with the same
(long) error message on the console.

Why is it being so recalcitrant? Is there a reason why it doesn't work out
of the box?
