I've done buildworlds over NFS and had no problems at all. No iferrors, timeouts, stalls, or even "hmmm..."--type behaviour. It's just that after each installation/buildworld I go: "D'oh!" and have to hack my way back into a working box. :-) I guess that's the good thing about a certain blue/green OS. You have to reinstall it so many times that you don't forget what special tricks your particular box needs.
