Wrap the script with something like: #!/bin/bash ( /usr/bin/su - user 'put your command here' ) 2>&1 >/dev/ttyv7 2. The output should go to the ALT-F8 screen. (this next step is the part that I didn't do) 3. Disable the getty on that screen. Edit /etc/ttys and comment out the line with ttyv7.
