The OpenWrt wiki page explains how to revert back to the original firmware. http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr1043nd TP-LINK make the firmware available for download on their site, so you don't need to save the one that's in the flash. http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/?model=TL-WR1043ND&version=V1#tbl_j At this time, it is highly recommended to have a serial console cable soldered to the router.
