Not the movies about the Boxer who goes around yelling for his wife and slugging people in the ring. This is a squirrel (Rocky) and a moose (Bullwinkle). There was a Rocky and Bullwinkle movie (last year?), but you wouldn't get the joke from that. In the cartoon series, they would have the three-or-four minute sketches, with Rocky or Bullwinkle doing little quick introductions between the sketches. EVERY week, at least one (and perhaps two) of those introductions would have Bullwinkle interrupt Rocky and say "Hey Rocky, Watch me pull a rabbit out of a hat!". Rocky would always go "Again? That trick never works!". And, of course, it did never work. Bullwinkle would end up getting a lion or a rhinoceros, but never a rabbit. This little 10-second bit happens in every show in the series... It's nice to have a little levity, once-in-awhile. I guess it's hard to translate some of these jokes "Unless you were there". Rocky and Bullwinkle, as a show, is probably hard to translate well too, as it was full of stupid puns and "inside" jokes. It was great. The only cartoon show we watched in college... :-) Er, no, first grade. I meant to say first grade. Yeah, that's it. -- Garance Alistair Drosehn = gad@eclipse.acs.rpi.edu Senior Systems Programmer or gad@freebsd.org Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute or drosih@rpi.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
