The usual insult for Afrikaans folk is "rockspider", abbreviated
to simply "rock". Also used are "krans athlete" or "mielie cruncher"
(crunchie).

Us English-speaking ZA-ans are often called "rooinekke"; the term
means almost the exact opposite of the US "redneck" - it refers to
soft, pale Englishmen having a hard time in the African sun while
our more rugged counterparts - the "boers" handled it better with
their well-established tans.

The worst insult (hehehehe!) for an English-speaker in ZA is
"soutie". It is an abbreviation of "soutpiel" (if you know this
word, great, if not, ask me offlist). It refers to the (ZA)Englisman's
supposed position of having one foot in ZA, one foot in UK, and
certain dangling parts of the anatomy in the NaCl of the Atlantic
ocean.
