I must admit that I've never been bitten by this myself, but I suppose it'd be problematic if one had a file in the working directory whose name was composed of two characters, the first of which was a dash. Talk about edge cases. :-) But I hear you. It was a bit presumptuous to call the way I do things "the UNIX way" just because I can't remember who taught it to me. :-) Later, Sheldon.
