The above is akin to changing "braces go on the same line as the if" to "braces go on the same line as the if unless it doesn't fit, in which case they may go on the next line". This may be implied, but if you think it should be mentioned explicitly here, it should probably be mentioned explicitly everywhere else as well. IMO, the implication is sufficient.
