isn't a 7880 just an onboard 2940? i think it is supported: device ahc (from /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/LINT) # The `ahc' device provides support for the Adaptec 29/3940(U)(W) # and motherboard based AIC7870/AIC7880 adapters.
