I am left with a bootable > system, but no XFree86 and other stuff. Unfortunately that is the state of the mini-install ISO. :-( I've been racking my brains for the best way to handle this. The best thing to do is after doing the install you did, boot fresh and run 'sysinstall', select a media of FTP and then go into the package menu.
