Hi, > Hello, I read at some point that there is support built into FreeBSD for using > the X10 TW523 (or something like that) powerline controller. Is there any > support for the activehome interface? If not I'd be willing to give it a shot, The tw523 driver bit-fiddles at a very low level, hence its existance as a /dev/ thingy. The activehome hardware expects to be connected to a standard serial port, and thus would be more of a userland issue. You might want to take a look at: http://www.freebsd.org/~fsmp/HomeAuto/X10.html http://www.freebsd.org/~fsmp/HomeAuto/Rc.html These pages describe userland code that is currently ported to use the /dev/x10 (ie tw523) driver, as well as several serial port based devices. Porting them to use the activehome should be trivial. -- Steve Passe | powered by smp@csn.net | Symmetric MultiProcessor FreeBSD
