Highly recommend against telneting in as root. BIG security hole. By default, root log in for telnet is disabled. Recommend using ssh (secure shell) on the server and a ssh capable client. This allows you to have an encrypted connection thus not passing a password in the clear. -----Original Message----- From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG [mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Tim Sent: Thursday, November 11, 1999 9:51 AM To: freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Subject: Please help!
