(sigh) Yes, I've decided to move the NIC off of the main PCB since the choice of device is leaving me with lots of suboptimal options :-( If I throw it onto a small daughter card, then I can afford the extra real-estate, etc. I can always hack something up for the short-term and replace it with an alternate technology later. It's always annoying to have to "do over" but I guess it can't be avoided in this case. "Idealism" can be quite time consuming! Thanks for your suggestions! --don
