Hello:

Option #5 on the FreeBSD 5.2.1 machine options sub-screen lists "Green
mode", which I presume is DPMS.

(I am guessing here, anyone know this y/n?)

Each day I have to run a job on my laptop that I run with no X. After a
few minutes the screen blanks but continues to draw current and is not
completely dark.

Can this be changed?

I updated the BIOS to see if any new features relating to screen power
existed. Nope...

(Went from A03 to A05.) Worked for me.
