you mean with min-sized packets ? what version of freebsd ? I'd
be interested to repeat this.

i tried with back-to-back cards using a cross-over cable, full duplex.

dc --> dc and dc --> fxp gives ~143Kpkts/s over long term,

fxp --> fxp and fxp --> fxp gives ~105Kpkts/s over long term,

in both cases counted with netstat on the source side, in both
cases changing the receiver and the source box makes no difference.
