I installed 3.0-current of May 3rd on a couple of my machines here (together with the new xterm) and one of my (power) users spontaneously sent me an email saying that the system now feels a lot more responsive. xterm comes up much quicker. Working with it is even more enjoyable. The machine is a 150 MHz P5 w/ 32 MB, IDE, nothing peculiar, NIS/NFS server.
