I'm having a problem getting FreeBSD 2.3.7 to route multicast packets. It will send and receive multicast packets on either interface but I just can't get it to forward them. I have normal IP forwarding enabled and that is working correctly. I rebuilt the kernel to include multicast routing and have increased the TTL on the packets sent to be 2 (also tried 5 just to be sure). The IGMP messages to join the group seem to be sent correctly, as well as the responses to the membership queries. I can also run mtrace and it gives me the correct path from the target back to the source. Everything seems good, except for the fact no packets get forwarded to the other subnet. Is there some trick I'm missing? Any suggestions would be appreciated. ------------------------ Rick Stoen stoen@netins.net Work hard, rock hard, eat hard, sleep hard, grow big, and wear glasses if you need 'em...
