[-- Attachment #1 --] Hmmmmm ...... I guess you mean in a GUI mode :) With any unix the appearance is exactly what you want it to be. I've yet to see two GUI FreeBSD installations that look even vaguely similar so I dunno what you mean by "good". My suggestion is to visit sites like http://www.xfce.org, http://www.gnome.org, http://www.kde.org & have a poke around. There's a heap more sites with window managers & no doubt some of the other regulars lurking around here will have their favourites .... my preference is definitely XFCE because it looks & performs similarly to the very professional CDE as used in Solaris / SCO / D-UX etc, also I have VERY bad memories of lockups etc with KDE when I was still messing around with linux, however XFCE is probably more suited to the more conservative of us .... boy-wonders may well be prepared to accept less stability if they can get all the flashing lights / bells & whistles / dancing girls / etc provided with the likes of Enlightenment ----- Original Message ----- From: -=Prankster=- To: freebsd-newbies@FreeBSD.ORG Sent: Tuesday, October 24, 2000 12:21 PM Subject: Can U help me?
