My NIS server is on a different line (broadcast), so I need to use the following to designate the server: # domainname foo # ypbind -s -ypsetme # ypset <server_name> If I just do the first two lines and try to do a ypwhich, it does what is is supposed to: it says the domain is not bound and gives up. If I do the ypset line, ypset complains: ypset: sorry, cannot ypset for domain foo on host BUT, it works! if I do a ypwhich, it responds w/ the correct server, and all services work (ypcat, ypmatch, etc.). Weird stuff... Server is running 2.2.2-RELEASE Kevin To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
