I know this question was asked and answered.  But, I cannot find it in
the archives.

What was the solution to the

"Undefined symbol '___error' referenced from text segment"

problem when compiling with gcc 2.7.2.1, running FreeBSD 2.2.6?  This
happens when compiling code using the strerror function.
