I do not see anything like that on my system--I think you should
double check whether you are actually running the right binary.
Perhaps your 0.8 has been installed into a different directory than
your 0.6 so that when you think you are launching 0.8, you are in fact
launching 0.6 instead.

If there is no doubt you are running the right binary, you might want
to clean out your installation completely and start over. I have
experienced upgrade situations where old stuff left over from a
previous version could cause problems or at least weird behaviour for
a new version.
