I've spent maybe 5-6 afternoons && evenings over the last 2-3 weeks
(sandwiched between other work) farting around with various alpha issues-
mostly with trying to get the )$*!!)$*~)@$*~)$*~)$*~@!$)* 4100 to reliably
work.

So, even though I don't agree with the architecture, etc, yadda yadda yadda, I
*am* trying to make things work with it. The latest effort collapsed
yesterday- but I sure am getting clever with a lot of little tricks, etc.
