While that is very sub-optimal, it does seem to pretty much fix the lockup problem. I still see lock-ups, but fewer than one per month. add "hint.hwpstate_intel.0.disabled=3D1" to /boot/loader.conf. It appears t= o only show up on Lenovo laptops running 13.0 or newer. (P-State support was not available prior to 13.)
