know which cards work, and which don't.

desktop interface cards -- most of the talk seems to be about laptop
interfaces. Do desktop cards work, and if so, which ones? I'm sure
people would want to know, for example, if the Adaptec card works (I
don't know, but I'd be willing to bet, "no", given Adaptec's
propensity for nondisclosure). ]
