Luigi, It looks like you have a typo here. > then everything works pretty fast -- the ruleset is short, and > the pipe processing overhead is O(log n) where n is the number of > _active_ pipes. 0(log n) = 0 is pretty low overhead. n(log n) would seem more appropriate if I had to guess.
