Okay,

I think that I might be on the right track, but how do I apply these changes
that I noticed on a post to my rc.conf file properly??

(root@nu)~># ifconfig xl0
xl0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
        inet 192.168.0.1 netmask 0xffffffe0 broadcast 192.168.0.31
        ether 00:70:18:d4:a4:ac
        media: 10baseT/UTP (10baseT/UTP <half-duplex>)
        supported media: 10base5/AUI 10baseT/UTP <full-duplex> 10baseT/UTP
<half-duplex> 10baseT/UTP

Thanks,
Will Ashworth
