Samba is ideal if Windows clients need to access files and printing services in your UNIX servers. On the other hand, if you work in an all-UNIX shop (lucky you!), then NFS would obviously be the way to go. I believe it is also possible to get some NFS clients for Windows, but I'm not sure any of them is free.
