This used-to-be-reality-and-now-is-a-myth idea is self perpetuating. If people are allowed to put stuff into -stable without at least a couple of weeks in -current, not only will the code definitely not be run by -current users, but it will encourage the FreeBSD developer base to simply run -stable because it causes less local problems. I'm not aiming this gripe at you Peter, but please don't spread the myth that it's ok to put stuff in -stable that hasn't had any shaking-out in -current 8*P -- Brian <brian@freebsd-services.com> <brian@Awfulhak.org> http://www.freebsd-services.com/ <brian@[uk.]FreeBSD.org> Don't _EVER_ lose your sense of humour ! <brian@[uk.]OpenBSD.org> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe cvs-all" in the body of the message
