Hi! Im having a problem on making a wireless optical mouse work with FreeBSD-5.3. It was a "Wireless Optical 3D Mouse (A4Tech)". It works fine with Windows XP. I re-configured my Xorg using "xorgconfig" and has specified that the corrent mouse port is "/dev/ums0". When I "startx", I got an error shown below: ------------- Using log file: /etc/X11/xorg.conf xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/ums0=20 Device busy Mouse1: cannot open input device PreInit failed for input device "Mouse1" No core pointer Fatal server error: failed to initialize core devices ------------ * Observations:=20 - usbd_enble=3D"YES" in rc.conf - after reboot, i can see my mouse pointer when in a console screen - "moused -p /dev/ums0" is running in background - it seems FreeBSD-5.3 detects the mouse and moused shows it works Why is it that I cant launch X and shows me that error? What do I need to d= o? -Edwin --=20 -- Edwin D. Vi=F1as http://www.geocities.com/edwin_vinas/ IN THE WORLD OF SCIENCE, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. --
