Hmm... I've spread my bad expirience with Adaptec SCSI AIC7899 "RAID" on some IDE controllers and maybe I'm wrong. My suggestion based on freebsd hardware notes where AIC7899 declared as SCSI controller, but Adaptec(and aq.ru, manufacturer of server I've tested) calls it RAID (In the same time Adaptec sells 2000S 'enchancement' card for MB with AIC7899). Am I wrong? In hardware notes FastTrak not declared as RAID but IDE controller...
