The alpha is a TSUNAMI XP1000 (EV67, 21264A). The SCSI adapter is
from Symbios. It has two scsi-2 drives attached.

The system worked nicley through all of 5.2-CURRENT (updated every
3-4 days).  I switched off debugging on 5.3-BETA because it was
recommended to do so :(... sorry.

If it would help, I can supply the dmesg.  I could also try to
reinstall any version and see if the error returns... sending the
output from a serial console.  I'm just reluctant to provide more
information than requested, especially as I do not know where to
dig for it.
