Hi, I have seen a lot of messages about wireless cards working and not working with hostap. I have a SMC2602 which is a SMC2632 in a PCI card. Works fine. When I setup hostap without WEP and use netgraph bridging it works, but is not very stable. I'm getting timeout messages and then the connection stops. When I define WEP, my laptop (running W2K) is not able to setup a connection. The firmware of the laptop SMC2632 card is the same. However WEP in adhoc mode works fine. This applies for both 40 and 128 bit. I am running FreeBSD 4.6-RELEASE-p2 Below the dmesg output. Does somebody have hostap working with WEP and a card with the same firmware?
