No, a 2 minute startup of Xorg is not normal. What kind of video card? Do you have the proper drivers for your video card installed? I've noticed on several flavors of Linux with my particular card (nVidia Geforce 8600 or something) that if I do not have the correct nVidia drivers, exiting X results in a system lockup. -- Glen Barber
