Dear list,
I have been experiencing possible problems with file-backed vdevs in ZFS.
I was playing around with them for lack of proper drives, trying to get aquainted with the system.
I noticed that my machine would hang when I deleted the file which was included in the pool
# mkfile file{1,2,3,4,5}
# zpool create tank raidz2 file{1,2,3,4,5}
# zpool scrub tank -> OK
# rm file1
# zpool scrub tank -> FAILURE
This does not occur then one of the files is replaced with a partition on a USB-drive.
I have posted more complete information under forums.freebsd.org
http://forums.freebsd.org/showthread.php?t=13619
Would appreciate if someone could point me in the direction to proceed, whether to post PR or what to do.
Best regards,
