Short summary of a long message in newbies.

After an upgrade from 2.2.8 to 4.1 by ftp today I couldn't log on. Got
login incorrect for root and my own account. I fixed it by booting with -s
and fixing root's password, but does anyone know why this happened? Is it
standard or did I just get lucky? I couldn't find any reports of similar
things resulting from upgrades in the archive.

mvh/regards

James
