https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=296005 Bug ID: 296005 Summary: handbook/ports: Update command in changing repos to not erase existing config. Product: Documentation Version: Latest Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: Books & Articles Assignee: doc@FreeBSD.org Reporter: petercs@purelymail.com Created attachment 271698 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=271698&action=edit Patch file. Updates a command in [this section](https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/ports/#quarterly-latest-branch) to not overwrite the existing configuration entirely. I'm not sure when this changed, but having tested on a 15.0 machine using the Packages (tech preview) option in bsdinstall, the `/usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/FreeBSD.conf` file exists and has the following contents: ``` FreeBSD-base: { enabled: yes } ``` The original command would overwrite this. I'm not sure if it'd be better to put a note here as well to let the reader know? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.home | help
