Hi there, your message is somewhat ambigious, if you mean you found the port under /usr/ports on your machine, that's OK, as TKDesk is one of the programs ported to FreeBSD, and so SHOULD be in the /usr/ports or simply the 'Ports Collection' in ant FreeBSD system with the ports installed. You say you can't find it on FTP, and my answer is you DONT have to HUNT ant program that is in the ports collection manually i.e. using FTP client or Web Browser, instead, cd to that port i.e. cd /usr/ports/x11/tkdesk then WHEN ONLINE give the SIMPLE command; make FreeBSD ports collection is smart enough to FETCH it together with all its DEPENDANCIES, i.e. all software needed to COMPILE, AND INSTALL the program. then after the download is finished, give the command; make install and the application will be FUNCTIONAL after this point. Magic, right ?? Thanks to the FreeBSD GURUs. :-) ---rknebel@csrlink.net wrote: > > > Hi, > Has anyone found the distfile for tkdesk b5. > I found the port but it cannot find the actual file at any of the ftp sites > and neither can I. > Thanks Alot > > -- > Rick Knebel > rknebel@mail.csrlink.net > == MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU. _________________________________________________________ DO YOU YAHOO!?
