Did you ever get this to work? I didn't see any answers in the archives to your question. I'm having the same trouble going from 4.0-RELEASE to 4.4-STABLE. I did try: sysctl -w kern.fallback_elf_brand=9 as Conrad Sabatier had suggested to another person on 10/14 but that didn't resolve the issue. >I'm still having trouble upgrading my 4.0RELEASE box to 4.4STABLE.
